Median of a triangle is a line segment joining a vertex to the midpoint of the opposing side. Medians intersect at a single point. This point is called the \wrr{centroid} of the triangle. The centroid divides each median into two segments in the ratio 2 : 1. x / y = 2 / 1, a / b = 2 / 1, q / p = 2 / 1. The median divides triangle into two triangles of equal area. P_1 = P_2.
